Robert P. EmroDecember 5, 1933 - May 11, 2011Robert P. Emro, 77, of Ridgefield and Eagle Lake, Florida, husband of Sarah H. Emro, died Wednesday, May 11th, in Danbury Hospital. Born in Norwalk, December 5, 1933, son of the late Burton E. and Jane Fitzgerald Emro, he was peace-time veteran of the U. S. Army. Mr. Emro was employed by the Southern New Engalnd Telephone Co. for over thirty-five years; retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and a member of the South Norwalk Boat Club since 1958. Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons; William J. Emro and his wife Donna, of Winter Haven, Florida, Thomas E. Emro and his wife Tracy, of Brookfield, a daughter; Christine Emro, also of Eagle Lake, a brother; Burton T. Emro, of Wilton, one sister; Jane M. Emro, of Norwalk, five grandchildren; Wayne and Willie, T. J. and Brian, and Peter Mallucci . Mr. Emro is predeceased by an infant son; Kenneth and another brother; John. Services will take place Tuesday at 12:00 Noon, in Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. To Bill Emro and Family, My heart goes out to you, your brother and sister. I saw the obituary for Mr. Emro in the paper, and just wanted to send my condolences to the whole family. I was his home health nurse in Eagle Lake while he was getting chemo. I will remember you all in my thoughts and prayers Sincerely, Marsha Reed

On behaf of the remaining Cole family, I want to let you know that I am so sorry that Bobby has passed away. The last time I saw Sally was at my Mom’s funeral, and she was so kind to us all.
