Mr,Mrs,Jose, and family, i am so sorry for you, and your family. Carla was really a special person, and i am blessed to have experienced her special touch first hand. When she had her flower shop next to the cleaners in Rowayton, she was always looking to help me in any way she could… I ran into her not long ago at Gilberties Nursery, and realized how much i missed her, the family, and lilly! You are in my prayers love, Michael Czegledi

Dear Jose and the Mortilleti Family. Mom and I are just so shocked over the sudden passing of Carla. She was a shining star in our lives. Her generosity and humor made the friendship precious to us. Even though Carla and Jose have not lived next to us for many years they were always hospitable and loving people. Carla God Bless You and Godspeed on your journey.

She taught my son David in 7th grade a few years ago, and was one of the kindest and warmest teachers at West Rocks Middle School. This is such a sad day for her family and for the extended WRMS community. My family’s prayers go out to her, to the WRMS community and to the students who will not have the opportunity to be taught by her.
