Frank Mastroberardino
July 17, 1917 - February 14, 2012
Frank Mastroberardino, 94, life-long Norwalk resident and husband of Sadie Mastroberardino, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in his home. Born July 7, 1917 in Norwalk, CT, he was the son of the late Peter M. and Mary Romano Mastroberardino.
Mr. Mastroberardino graduated Norwalk High School and played in the first band there. He served in the Army during World War II and later worked in the billing department of the New Haven Railroad for 31 years. After his retirement he enjoyed golf, was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus (Council No. 46), and was a member of both the Sons of Italy and the Railroad Anchor Club. He was also involved in many other community activities. He loved people and had many friends.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Mastroberardino is survived by his daughter Judith Sachetti and her husband William of Norwalk, and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Minnie Santopietro.

That was always a huge fear of mine when I first bmecae a mommy… having a child ripped out of my arms by a tornado. All three of my boys LOVE trains! They are Thomas fanatics and can tell you about all the different types of train cars– double decker, gondola, etc. What a special tribute to the family’s son! It’s nice to see a company with heart that will do something nice for someone else.
Our deepest sympathies in the loss of a loving husband and father. May the fond memories shared bring comfort during this time of great pain.
