Konstantinos “Gus” Kyriakides, 57 died Wednesday, July 25, 2012,
after a long and courageous 22 year battle with cancer. Gus passed away peacefully in his home in Norwalk surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Born in Spilia, Greece on June 19,1955, the youngest of four children, Gus was the son of the late Polychronis and Sophia Kyriakides.
He worked for Pepperidge Farm for several years and then went on to become a successful restaurant owner.
Gus is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of over 30 years, Elisavet “Litsa” Tsinides and his sisters, Vasiliki Gakopoulos, Penelope Lazarides and Violetta Afentoulides and their spouses, his treasured nieces and nephews, as well as countless other friends and family who were blessed to have known him.
Gus will forever be remembered by his devoted wife as her hero. We all have been touched by his courage and generosity and he will be forever missed.
Friends may call on Sunday, July 29th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Trisagian Prayers will begin at 7PM.A funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 30th at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road Norwalk, CT. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, 80 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
