November 10, 1956 - October 22, 2013

Clifford M. Benson, 56, of Norwalk, CT, husband of Susan Lucente Benson, passed away on October 22, 2013 at The Stamford Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Cliff was born on November 10, 1956 in Bronx, NY, the son of the late Clifford and Naomi Benson.  He graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School and Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy.  Cliff’s work background was in the shipping industry.  For the past 13 years, he worked for Glencore Ltd. in Stamford, CT in Ship Operations.  Cliff was an avid bowler and sports fan.

He is survived by sons Christopher of Norwalk, CT and Clifford, III of GA; daughters Nichole Lorrius (Sonny) of FL and Michelle Howard (Jerry) of GA; 8 grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brothers Dwight of NY, Arthur and Sigmund; and by his nieces and nephews.
