  • To Ann and all of Don’s family,
I think of Don each day and it is still such a shock. As others do, I know that Don was doing what he loved so much. Skiing filled him with such joy and pleasure. All at Killington will miss him. He loved skiing and helping others. I met him while working with the Killington Ambassador Program, and from the very first moment he was kind and helpful. He and Ann always had that extra time for a new member to this wonderful program. I miss you Don. Ann, I know you miss him greatly this was such a shock coming so quickly…but, you will always live with the joy that Don was doing the thing he loved best with the people he loved. Remember all the good times, the joy, the fun, the laughter. My love to you and Don’s family. diane benton

  • Don, you will truly be missed. A wonderful guy, always with a smile and a laugh, and much exuberance for the things he loved, skiing, race cars, curling, Ann and his family. I hope a ski slope, a sheet of curling ice and a Glen Livet on the rocks awaits you.

  • Don, was truly a giving, devoted & loving man. He made a positive impact on all who came in contact with.

It’s so sad to hear of someone so young and healthy passing too soon. But continuing-on, while doing something your passionate about in the company of someone you love, isn’t too shabby.

His Killington Ambassador family are all sadden by your loss. He will be remembered in our hearts and in every carving turn we take.

    Rest in peace my friend…………..

  • Don touched the hearts of many….with his passion for life, keen sense of humor, and deep compassion for people around him. As a friend and fellow Ambassador at Killington, I vividly remember our last conversation about skiing….Don took advantage of lessons offered to Ambassadors, so in part of our conversation he said, “every time I take a lesson, I realize I really don’t know how to ski…” Whenever I think of this it brings a smile to my face…..believe me, Don knew how to ski with a passion matched by few.
Ann, my heart goes out to you and Don’s family….keep the many memories alive, share in the laughter, and know you are supported by all of us.

  • My sincere condolences to Ann, her family, and the Nicholson family. Our dear Hollins sister, Ann, lost a big part of her joy in life with Don’s untimely passing. We can only find happiness in knowing they had each other for the time that they did. May everyone reading this give their loved ones a big hug and “I love you” because our time here is too short. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
