Edith Klinghoffer Pellenberg
Edith Klinghoffer Pellenberg, 87, wife of the late Arthur Pellenberg, passed away March 14, 2016 at home.
Born March 6, 1929 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Anna Spivak Klinghoffer.
Mrs. Pellenberg grew up in the Bronx and later was a Norwalk resident for 55 years. She was employed over 20 years by the Norwalk School system, working with the hearing impaired and as an assistant librarian both there and for the Norwalk Public Library. She also volunteered at the library and hospital in Norwalk and was a dedicated life-member in Hadassah.
She is survived by son Matthew Pellenberg, his wife Claire and their two children Andrew and Gavin, all of East Brunswick, NJ and son Jeffery Pellenberg, his wife Edith and their children Ross and Alexa. She is also survived by sister Janice Klinghoffer Stone of Lake Worth, FL. She was predeceased by her sister Molly Klinghoffer Wiener.
Services will be held TODAY Tuesday March 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM in Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will follow in Beth Israel Cemetery, 225 Richards Avenue, Norwalk. Donations in her memory may be made to Hadassah of Connecticut (www.hadassah.org/regions/connecticut).
