Frances DiCostanzo


January 12, 1923 ~ June 26, 2017

Frances Bossone DiCostanzo, 94, of Norwalk passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26th, with family by her side.

Born in Rowayton, CT, January 12, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Virginia Bossone. She was the wife of the late Ted DiCostanzo, who together owned and operated Ted’s Men Shop, a clothier on Main Avenue in Norwalk. Frances, was preceded in death by her brothers: Mac, Scipione, Romas, Guido, John & Benito Bossone.

She will be remembered and missed by many. Frances was very active in the St. Thomas Parish, and the local AARP chapter. She enjoyed family outings, cooking and gardening. She was a kind thoughtful person and wonderful aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Waveny Life Care and Assisted Living of New Canaan along with Caring Partners of Westport for their friendship, compassion and support that they showed our Aunt Frances along her journey of life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 29, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Entombment will follow at Saint John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
