November 10, 1922 - June 22, 2012

Francesco Balestriere, 89, of Norwalk, husband of Maddalena Cenatiempo Balestriere died Friday in the Norwalk Hospital.

Born in Italy son of the late Crescenzo and Teresa Balestriere, he was a long time Norwalk resident and had been retired from Nash Engineering. Mr. Balestriere served in the Italian Army during WW II. He traveled back to Italy many times over the years to visit family and friends, he was an avid soccer fan and loved gardening.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Chris Balestriere and his wife Frances of Norwalk, Philip Balestriere of Stamford, Ann Siano and her husband Carmine of Norwalk, Teresa Siano of Norwalk and Virginia Graziosi of Old Brookville, NY; Fifteen Grandchildren, Fifteen Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday June 27th at 10:00 AM in St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Richards Avenue, Norwalk.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk.
