Gary M. Stanizeski, Sr., of Norwalk, Connecticut passed away peacefully on October 25th surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Gary was born on February 5th, 1955 in Norwalk, Connecticut, the son of late Hazel & Wallace Stanizeski. Gary was the youngest of 2 siblings, John and Jim. He had a successful career as an electrical engineer and loved to travel with his wife Sharon and his children. You could often find him on a beach, playing with his beloved pets, on the boat or spending time with his family. He had a deep passion for the Yankees and American muscle cars and was an avid mechanic.

Gary is survived by his wife, Sharon Stanizeski. Gary left his legacy within his three children, Sara Pennella and her husband, Amerigo of Norwalk, Connecticut,  Lindsay Stanizeski of Norwalk, Connecticut, Gary Stanizeski, Jr and his wife Ashley, of Kingwood, Texas along with their mother and Gary’s former wife, Lori Guthman, and stepdaughter, Jennifer Kish of Florida and grandchildren, Allison & Luciano Pennella ages 9 and 7 of Norwalk, Connecticut and was excited to be adding another grandchild, Jackson, son of Gary and Ashley this Winter. He also leaves behind his beloved “Puddy Tat”. Gary was predeceased by his stepdaughter Sarah Kish.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 29, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk. Interment will be at a later date.
Friends may call Sunday, October 28, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk.

In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

  1. Gary I am so sorry for his passing. I was praying that he was getting better. I really enjoyed my time with him. He was so much fun. He will be with us even tho we can’t see him and I know he will be with you all when Jackson is born.
