November 2, 1916 - February 15, 2015

Genevieve Mary Cehi (98), wife of the late John Cehi Sr., entered eternal rest on Sunday at Somers Manor Nursing Home, Somers, NY.

Born in Norwalk on November 2, 1916, Genevieve was the daughter of James and Theresa Soltes. She attended Saint Joseph’s School, and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1935. She was employed by J.J.Cash, Inc. of Norwalk. Also, a longtime member of St. Ladislaus Church and the St. Ann’s Society.

She is survived by her two sons, John Cehi Jr. and his wife Katherine (D’Antoni) of Norwalk, and his children, Nina Marie(Cehi) LaMagna and her husband Michael LaMagna, Esq of Stamford, CT; Jeanmarie (Cehi) Cosgrove, DMD, and her husband Christopher Cosgrove of Burlington, CT, and Matthew John Cehi of Carrollton,TX. Edward Cehi and his wife Louise(Cyr) of Grand Island,FL. and his children Samantha (Cehi) Spiker and her husband Jim of Leesburg, FL, Edward Zachary Cehi and his wife Kimberly of Belleview, FL., and Mary Sue Cehi of St. Petersburg,FL.

Also, seven great grandchildren: Julianna (9) and Gabriella (5) LaMagna, Katelyn (7) and Jackson (5) Cosgrove; Matthew (16) and Alexander (12) Spiker, and Gwendolyn (16) Ludwig.

She was predeceased by her three brothers, Albert, Gordon and James Soltes.
