George H. Anghel


George H. Anghel, 60, Beloved husband of Susan Anghel and beloved father of Jennifer Arroyo, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Norwalk, CT.

George was a Technical Architect and worked as a consultant for many major corporations. He was an outstanding innovator in the computer field. He loved new technology and uncovering how it all worked. He was passionate to educate others with his knowledge. He was a great mentor to his fellow coworkers wherever he worked.

He had a passion for tennis, target shooting and playing bridge. He loved to write poetry in his free time. He enjoyed listening to all types of music. He especially loved taking Sue to the theater, the opera’s and the ballets in New York City. He looked forward to the weekends, so he and Sue could experience the culture, the energy and the atmosphere of the city.

He was a world traveler and he liked family gatherings, especially the times he vacationed in Florida with his daughter and grandchildren. He couldn’t wait to retire to Florida where his daughter and family could visit anytime.

He was a deep thinker with a calm demeanor of spirituality; compassionate towards others, always had a kind encouraging word no matter what kind of situation he was in. Always had a joke to tell to make your day brighter and happier. He was outgoing person. He was always willing to make new friends each and every day with his warm and contagious smile.

He is survived by his cherished grandchildren Gadiel and Alexandra from Puerto Rico.

Friends and family my call Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:30 pm. A memorial service will begin at 7:30pm at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06851.
