Services: A memorial mass celebrating her life will take place on Friday Jan. 13 at 10 AM at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk. Internment will follow in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk. Friends may call on Thurs. Jan. 12 from 3-5 and 6-8 at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. Donations: Donations may be made to the U.S. Humane Society. Flowers are also appreciated.

October 13, 1932 - December 26, 2016

Eileen Finn Gibson, age 84, of Norwalk, beloved wife of the late Ronald J. Gibson, passed away on December 26, 2016 at Norwalk Hospital.

Born in Pittsfield Massachusetts. on October 13, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Devitt Finn. Eileen graduated from Lauralton Hall High School in Milford and New Haven State Teachers College. She taught in the Norwalk School System for 23 years at Kendall Elementary School and was a beloved Kindergarten and First Grade Teacher. In recent years she was a coordinator for FISH in Norwalk, and a member of the New Horizons club at St. Matthew Parish.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas and Michael Gibson, both of Norwalk, and two sisters and their spouses, Marilyn and Larry Menta and Rita and Ed Hibyan, all of Shelton.
