Gordon J. Gall


 

Gordon J. Gall, 71, a long time resident of Greenwich, died peacefully Saturday morning at Stamford Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was surrounded by his loving family. Gordon was the husband of Michele (Roszkowski) Gall. 

Born in Norwalk, he was the son of the late Gordon J. and Clara Bell (Whittlesy) Gall.  Mr. Gall was an avid hockey fan who faithfully cheered on his New York Islanders. Gordon was also a lifelong Yankees fan with an admiration for Mickey Mantle.  He also enjoyed crossword puzzles, his computer, music, golf, and spending time with his grandchildren.  He especially enjoyed watching his older granddaughter play ice hockey. 

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Becky Gall-Piorek and her husband Brian, of Oxford and Beth Gall and her partner John Rosendo, of Norwalk; two grandchildren Meghan and Katelyn, a sister Jean Smeriglio, of Florida,  an uncle Joseph Sarafin, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all on M3N at Stamford Hospital, Miriam Martinez, Nathan and Danielle Leveille, and all who cared for him at the Bennett Cancer Center in Stamford.  Your kindness will always be remembered. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 24th at 11:30 AM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. Entombment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, April 23rd from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to PAWS, 504 Main Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06851.
