Friends may call Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT.  A brief ceremony will be held the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 AM followed by interment in St. John Cemetery, Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT.

Henry “Dutch” Kruger


December 21, 1929 - November 6, 2018

Henry “Dutch” Kruger, 88, husband of the late Gertrude Kruger of Norwalk, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the Norwalk Hospital.

Born December 21, 1929 in Hempstead, NY he was the son of the late Henry and Margaret Kruger.    Henry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a wrecker crewman.  He later worked for 30+ years at CL&P.  He was a Life Member member of the South Norwalk Boat Club but his favorite job was always being papa and big papa to his grand and great grandchildren.

He is survived by sons Thomas and his wife Elke of Norwalk, CT, Timothy and his wife Cheryl of Bradenton, FL and Keith of Shrewsbury, MA; 7 grandchildren, Heather and Thomas of Norwalk, Steven of Lompoc, ToniLynn and Jason of Bradenton, Megan and Anika of Shrewsbury and four great-grandchildren Dominick and Ashlyn of Bradenton, Angelina and Gabriel of Norwalk, and 9 nieces and nephews.

    enjoying their occasional hotdog. Always had a nice chat to catch up. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
