James F. “Jim” Coviello

James F. (“Jim”) Coviello of Norwalk, husband of Pattie Zeman-Coviello, passed away on Monday, October 8th, in Norwalk Hospital, after a period of failing health.  Jim was born in Greenwich, CT, son of the late Vincent J. and Mildred Coviello, on March 9, 1935.  Jim graduated from Greenwich High School in 1952, and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Art Career School in Manhattan.  Jim built a successful career as a graphic designer/commercial artist, and enjoyed his family and wide circle of friends.  He was known for his joke-telling abilities and his winning smile, a good dice or card game, a nice Cuban cigar, and most of all, his way with people lucky enough to be in his company.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his son, James, of New York, daughters Jacquie of Oldsmar, FL and Karin of Eastham, MA, and several grand-children, great-grandchildren, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Judy Zeman, cousins and one uncle.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Waveny Life Care Network for their outstanding care during the past few months.  Memorial donations may be made to Jim’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. Friends may visit with the family from 12 Noon until the time of the service.
