Jean Knapp Coviello


July 5, 1925 ~ November 26, 2011

Jean Knapp Coviello, 86, beloved wife of Leonard Coviello of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Honey Hill Care Center in Norwalk.  Born July 5, 1925, she was the daughter of the late George and Esther DeForest Knapp of New Canaan.

Mrs. Coviello worked for many years as secretary to the President of Norwalk Hospital as well as to the Chief of Police in New Canaan.  After retirement, she returned to Norwalk Hospital where she enjoyed many years of volunteering.   Jean loved her family dearly and her door was always open to friends and family.  She loved the Christmas Season where her home was filled with her love of music and the smell of homemade cookies.  Jean always had a special kind of love for all animals alike and held a special spot for them in her heart.

In addition to her husband, Jean is survived by three children Tony Zulkeski, Paul Zulkeski and his wife Sheryl and Janice Zulkeski.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Stephen, Jason, Kristin, Kregg, Kristopher and Kory Zulkeski as well as Sarah Coviello and five great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by three step-children, Bruce Coviello, Denise Coviello and Larry and his wife Barbara Coviello.  Jean was also predeceased by brothers George and Ralph Knapp.

  • Uncle Lenny Im so sorry about Aunt jean I loved when you two came to visit,She was a great God mother to me I will miss her dearly I still have this puppy she gave me as a child and when I had my children she gave them both the same puppyto them .I will alway keep her in my heart I love you Aunt Jean.Uncle Lenny if there is any thing you need please let me know
