Jean R. deWaters


December 28, 1921 ~ December 13, 2017

Jean R. deWaters, 95, passed away on December 13, 2017 at her residence at Indian River Estates in Vero Beach, Florida.

Jean was born in Norwalk, CT on December 28, 1921. She was raised in Norwalk by her parents, Alexander and Rose (Lindquist) Roberts.  Jean graduated from Norwalk High School in 1939 and was a member of the National Honor Society.  She graduated from Merrill Business School in 1941.

Jean was married for 64 years to her husband, Frank G. deWaters, who passed away in 2010.  She and Frank raised their family in Norwalk and retired to Stuart, FL and then Vero Beach, FL.  Jean was a dedicated volunteer at Norwalk Hospital and with the American Red Cross.  She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed tennis, gardening and reading.  Jean is survived by her daughters, Emilie Lander of Manchester, NH and Roberta deWaters of Wimauma, FL.

Funeral arrangements were made with Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT.  A private burial was in Rowayton Union Cemetery in Rowayton, CT.
