Jeffrey Charles Warlich

June 29, 1959 - March 18, 2011

Jeffrey Charles Warlich, filled with grace and courage, passed away on March 18, 2011 at his home on Bell Island in Rowayton, CT.  Jeff was born on June 29, 1959 in St. Paul, MN where he attended St. Paul Academy and Summit School and where he lived until he moved east to attend Colgate University.  Jeff graduated from Colgate in 1981 with a degree in International Relations/Political Science and went on to a career in banking in which he spent 25 years at JP Morgan in New York City, most recently as an Executive Director.

Jeff had a true love of life and dedicated his complete self to his areas of passion–golf and all athletics, staying connected to his friends, excellence at work and most importantly his daughters and his family.  His friends from Colgate will tell you that Jeff had “not a bit of arrogance and a mellowness that is rare in such an accomplished man.”  He was an extremely strong role model for the team he led at  JP Morgan, and his competitive nature ensured that he was at the top of his area of expertise year after year. Very much a catalyst for keeping good friends and colleagues connected, Jeff held an annual Retro Day Party for his friends from Colgate, which has become legendary.

His family and many, many great friends will miss Jeff’s tremendous warmth, generosity, sense of humor and love of life.  He lives on in his daughters, in the successes of his former team at JP Morgan and in the many very strong and lasting memories he made with his family and friends.

Jeff is survived by his wife T. Kim Warlich; his daughters Kelly Anderson Warlich, Alexandra Taylor Warlich and Jaime Beverly Warlich all of New Canaan; his mother Alma Anderson Warlich of White Bear Lake, MN; his siblings Kathryn Warlich Kromroy and her husband Thomas of St. Paul, MN, Karen Elizabeth Nelson and her husband Morgan of Orono, MN; his previous wife Catherine Meyer Warlich; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Jeff is predeceased by his father, Eugene M. Warlich.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 12 noon, in the United Church of Rowayton, 210 Rowayton Avenue, Rowayton, CT.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jeff’s name to the Bennett Cancer Center at Stamford Hospital, Stamford Health Foundation, 1351 Washington Blvd., Stamford, CT 06902.
