  1. Hi, it Joe F Abely II (32 year old Joe A),

Kristin and John I am so sorry to hear about your father.

I told my dad today that your father was smart, tough man with strong opinions and a good sense of humor – I always knew that, but the last time I spoke to him he told me that in life all that matters is family. I know how much he loved his children, grandchildren and especially Ellen, whom he took such good care of. I am sorry for you loss. I know I haven’t seen him recently, as much as when I was a kid, but I know that I too will miss, love and pray for him for the rest of my life.

I will see you at the services, I will be going with my father.

    With My Prayers and Love

  • It was with great sorrow that I read of Jack’s passing in my bulletin from St. Matthew yesterday. Several year ago when I joined St. Matthew and realized that Ellen and Jack were also members of the parish, I asked Ralph Bausch (in the office) if he knew the Abley’s. I was told that they did and that Mom was suffering from Alzheimer’s. I was truly saddened. My name may not be familiar to you but, I/we bought the house you lived in on Reichert Circle! Along with the Sylander’s, we had many fun eveining together with your parents. I’m so sorry that I didn’t know of your Mom’s passing. I believe your Mom had an uncle who was(is) a priest and he continued to address his Christmas cards to the Reichert Cirlce address for many years. Your Mom and I had many chuickles over this. After they left Salem Lane (Road?) we lost touch but I was thrilled to find out that they were members of St. Matthew. Again, I asked some friends which mass they usually attended and heard the news about Ellen. I sincerely pray they are both at peace and deeply regret I didn’t know about their passings so that I could attend the masses for them. May they rest in peace in the loving arms of our Savior. My prayers to all of you….Carol Mata
