John Milliken Adams


John Milliken Adams, 59, of Norwalk, CT passed away on April 3rd, 2015.

John, son of the late Raymond and Betty Jane Adams, and is survived by his daughter Sara Adams, son Eric Adams, and former wife Greta Adams. He is also survived by his sister Nancy Adams, brothers Robin and David Adams, and 3 nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brother Raymond Adams.

John was a long-time resident of Norwalk, CT, growing up in Rowayton and graduating from Brien McMahon High School, and eventually attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. John worked as a project manager at MCI and later Verizon Business in various locations in Fairfield County and New York City for nearly 20 years before retiring to Florida. John was a loving father and husband who took in avid interest in the great outdoors, his children’s school engagements, and his dog Dana. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Visiting hours for the public will be held this Friday at Collins Funeral Home in Norwalk from 4-7 pm.

Memorial donations can be made to The Humane Society.

  • I worked with John at MCI in Stamford. I was the oldest person in the group at the ripe old age of 30. I remember John – a great guy with a memorable smile. He will be missed. So deeply sorry for your loss

  • Dear Mr. Adams, I specifically remember the old times, That My Brother Michael and I used to play with your kids out in your old backyard all some time. Then I remember always spending sometime with your daughter Sara and two of our best friends from the same School.
    You were a good neighbor who used to live down the street with your former wife Greta, your kids Eric & Sara and your dog Dana.

  • Dear Mr. Adams, it’s been almost a year since you died. I saw you in front of West Rocks Middle School the time I saw you came by to pick up Sara. also, we remember Watching Eric performing at Halftime with the Norwalk HS Band Group at Norwalk High Football testafield during the Friday Night of the Football game.
    you clearly loved my friends with my brother Michael named Eric and Sara and Dana the dog altogether very much and I wish you well during this Difficult time.

  • Hi Eric and Sara, sorry for your Dad’s Loss, I used to see him out in my old neighborhood the whole time walking Dana the dog, Seeing him out in your old backyard, and especially I saw him waiting outside the Back Parking lot of West Rocks Middle School, he volunteered to stop by to get Sara picked up after School, and I remember him fondly. He was a kind, and unselfish man and he clearly loved you both, Your mom and your dog very much.
