Joseph P. Tyburski
December 15, 1919 - January 27, 2013
Joseph P. Tyburski, 93, of Norwalk, husband of the late Stella Kabala Tyburski, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Norwalk Hospital. Born December 15, 1919 in Port Chester, NY, he was son of the late Peter and Anna Zientek Tyburski.
Mr. Tyburski served overseas during WWII in the 2nd Armored Division, “Hell On Wheels Division” under General Patton. He moved to Norwalk in 1951 and worked as a Tool and Die Maker for Perkin Elmer Corporation for 38 years. He loved gardening, cooking and New York sports teams.
Mr. Tyburski is survived by his son Peter Tybursky and his wife Kathi of Mahwah, NJ and his two daughters Barbara Tyburski and Virginia Tyburski, both of Norwalk. In addition, he is survived by his three grandchildren; Kevin Tyburski and his wife Maria of Trumbull, CT, Jessica Tybursky and her fiancée Francesco of Mahwah, NJ, and Michael Tybursky and his wife Jessica of Boston, MA; two great grandchildren Christopher and Matthew Tyburski; and by his brother Frank Tyburski and his wife Nellie of Trumbull, CT.
In addition to his beloved wife of over 50 years, Stella, he was predeceased by his brother Edward and sister Wanda.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 AM in St. Philip Church, 1 Father Conlon Place, Norwalk.
