  1. I was born and raised in Alton, IL. I read obits daily and read of your father passing away. My husband George graduated from Shurtleff College in the last graduating class. His name was George E Priest-put himself thru Shurtleff and we moved to the Dallas area April 1, 1957 for employment. He worked for IBM that sent us to Wilton, CN Dec 1968 and left to return to TX March 1971. While in
Wilton we started the Wilton Baptist Church – which is still in existence on RT 7 and Rt 106. We lived on Pepperidge Lane off of Liberty
St for the 4 years in Wilton. Returned to Dallas, TX area. George passed away Dec 2012 and our son who was 52 passed away with MS
May 2011. Wish that we had known there were other Altonians in Wilton. Accept my deepest sympathy. Anna Marie Beard Priest

  • Sam, Andy and family,

Sincere condolences on your loss. Your parents were great friends with my parents, Bob and Dixie Clinton. Over the years, they shared many stories about the fun they all had together. Though years and miles grew in distance, they were always close in thought. May you find peace in the days ahead. May you find joy in knowing lifelong friends are reunited in heaven.
