Louis Nocero Sr.
July 29, 1925 - March 30, 2015
Louis Nocero Sr., 89, of Norwalk, died Monday, March 30th at home. He was the husband of the late Dolores Nocero. They were married for 54 years. Born in Norwalk on July 29th, 1925, he was the son of the late Margaret and Morris Nocero, both born in Italy.
He served in the United States Navy as a Navy Seabee from 1943 to 1945. He was stationed in Hawaii and the Philippines. Louis worked for many years at the First District Water Department. He worked for Wilton Motors for many years as well. Louis enjoyed playing many sports when he was younger, especially basketball. He was a big New York Yankees fan and a proud owner of his 1968 Firebird.
Survivors include his two daughters, Margaret Nocero of Norwalk, Maria Peloso and her husband Frank Peloso Jr. of Easton, his son Louis Nocero Jr. of Norwalk, his grandchildren Amanda and Stephen Peloso of Easton and Carrie Graveline of Waterbury, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 7th at 10:00 AM in St. Philip Church, 1 Fr. Conlon Place, Norwalk. Burial with military honors will follow in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
Friends may call Monday, April 6th from 4:00-8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk.
