Visitation: Friends may call Sunday, April 13th at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. The South Norwalk Boat Club will meet at the funeral home at 3:00 pm. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 14th at 10:00 am in St. Ladislaus Church, 25 Cliff Street, friends and family are requested to meet at church (there will not be a procession from the funeral home). Burial: Interment will follow the services in St. John Cemetery, Richards Avenue, Norwalk. Louis S. Soltes, Sr., 87, of Norwalk, husband of Sarah Boyd Soltes, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.

Lou was born in Norwalk, on August 25, 1926 to the late Anthony and Helen Bacho Soltes. He attended Norwalk schools and worked for the Second District Water Department for thirty-seven years. Lou was a life-long member of St. Ladislaus Church and a forty-six year member of the South Norwalk Boat Club.
Survivors, in addition to his loving wife of sixty-five years, include his son Lou Soltes, Jr. and his wife Mimi Hall Soltes; his granddaughter, whom he adored Ashley Soltes, all of Norwalk and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Soltes was predeceased by two brothers Anthony and Joseph Soltes and by two sisters Florence Soltes Dorta and Gertrude Soltes Kruger.
