Lucia (Lucille) Maria Amente, 89, formerly of Norwalk, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Danbury.
Born May 29, 1929, in Norwalk, CT, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Carmella DeMichelis.
Lucille worked as a bookkeeper at CR Gibson in Norwalk. She then went on to be the owner of Economy TV in Stamford for over 30 years with her husband Nick.
She was a life-long member of the South Norwalk Columbiettes, and an active member of St. Philips Prayer Group. As a devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed Sunday dinners with family.
Lucille is survived by her three sons; Nicholas J. Amente and his wife Vickie of Danbury, Jeffery P. Amente and his wife Marguerite of Redding and Wayne A. Amente and his wife Alison of Redding, her daughter Judith Amente Archer and her husband David of Monroe. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Anthony Amente, Nikki and her husband Peter Sandorfi, Cheyenne M. Archer, Shayna E. Archer, Alexandra A. Amente and Madison N. Amente, and two great grandchildren, Dalton and Madison Sandorfi, and two sisters; Nancy Mazzella and Marie Corbo.
Lucille was predeceased by her husband Nicholas A. Amente and two sisters; Toni Giunta and Josephine Lorenti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 31, at 12:00 noon at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk. Entombment will follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk.
