Maddalena Balestriere

Maddalena Cenatiempo Balestriere, 84, of Norwalk, wife of the late Francesco Balestriere died Thursday in the Norwalk Hospital.
Born in Italy daughter of the late Filippo and Virginia Galano Cenatiempo she was a seamstress and longtime Norwalk resident who loved to have her family around her all the time, especially family Sunday dinners. She was loved and will be missed dearly by her family.
Surviving are her children, Teresa Siano of Norwalk, Chris Balestriere and his wife Frances of Norwalk, Virginia Graziosi and her husband Angelo of Old Brookville, NY, Ann Siano and her husband Carmine of Norwalk, Philip Balestriere of Stamford; Fifteen Grandchildren, Sixteen Great Grandchildren; brother, Alfred Cenatiempo and his wife Fanny of Norwalk, sister, Teresa Diorio of Newtown, brother, Steve Cenatiempo and his wife Mary of Norwalk, sister-in-law, Ines Cenatiempo of Norwalk and brother-in-law, Michele Napoleone of Norwalk and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Theodore Cenatiempo a sister, Carnelina Napoleone, and a brother-in-law George Diorio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 20th at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
Friends may visit with the family TODAY, May 19th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk.
