Madeline E. Curci

Madeline E. Curci, 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. She was the wife of Samuel Curci Jr., of Westport, for 65 years.
Born in South Portland, Maine on April 14, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Harriet Lindquist Beal.
Madeline worked at Famous Artists Schools in Westport and later as a school crossing guard for 20 years. She was active in cub scouting as a den leader and den leader coach. She participated in round tables and training. Madeline was the first woman in Fairfield County to work as an assistant Commissioner and later became Commissioner. She received the highest award in scouting The Wood Badge in 1978 (England). She volunteered in scouting for more than 20 years. Her hobbies were knitting and needle pointing, and she loved making things for her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Samuel, Madeline is survived by her children, Deborah Mollica (John) of Shelton, CT, Samuel Curci, III, of Longmont, CO, Anna Carroll (Mark) of Fairfield, CT, and Nicholas Curci (Karen) of Westport, CT. She is also survived by her two brothers, Junior and Ronald Lindquist.
Madeline was predeceased in life by her sisters Barbara Clapp and Beverly Kealer and by her brother Bobby Lindquist.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 10, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s On The Green, 60 East Avenue, Norwalk. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk.
