Marion L. Provenzano

February 23, 1925 - April 10, 2012

Marion L. Provenzano, 87, of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Norwalk, wife of Charles J. Provenzano, Sr., died Tuesday, April 10th, at Norwalk Hospital.

Born in Norwalk, February 23, 1925, the daughter of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Trantanella Williams, Sr., she was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, and had been with the Norwalk Board of Education for fifteen years prior to retirement in 1988. Mrs. Provenzano was a member of the Columbiettes, Council 1253, and the Norwalk Senior Center. She had formerly been a member of the Pietro Micca Lodge No. 744, Sons of Italy, and the St. Ann Club.

Survivors in addition to her husband of sixty-six years include four children; Mrs. Norman {Mary Ann} Roberts, of Norwalk, Mrs. William {Barbara} Tyra, of Trumbull, Charles Provenzano, Jr. and his wife Elaine, of North Haven Mrs. James {Charlotte} Albert, also of North Haven, eleven grandchildren: Norman, II {and wife Freda}, Daniel {and wife Nikki}, and Robin Roberts, Ashley Tyra, Charles, III, Alaina, William and Vinny Provenzano, Lauren, James, Jr. and Steven Albert.  Mrs. Provenzano is predeceased by a granddaughter, Katie Tyra, a son-in-law, Col. William D. Tyra, III, three brothers; Joseph, Frank and Anthony Williams, Jr.
