Marthe (Mimi) Parisi

January 25, 1934 - July 6, 2011

Marthe (Mimi) Parisi of Broken Arrow, OK, formerly of Norwalk, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 surrounded by her family.

Marthe was born in New York on January 25, 1934, daughter of the late Denise & Sergio Tatulli. She is survived by Charles, her loving husband of 59 years; her devoted daughter, Denny Sierau and her husband Johann of Broken Arrow, Ok; her 2 grandchildren; Michelle Sierau of Bridgeport and Nicholas Sierau of New Mexico.

She is also survived by her brother, Charles Tatulli and wife Carolyn of Norwalk; 3 nieces; Suzie and Gabby Parisi of Bridgeport, and Carla Nikolis and husband James of Fairfield; 2 nephews, Chris Tatulli and his wife Roberta of Trumbull and Steven Parisi of Bridgeport. Mimi had 3 great-nephews; Zachary, Trevor and Justin.

She worked for Xerox in Stamford for many years before retiring with Charles to Myrtle Beach, SC. They then moved to Oklahoma to be near their family.

Mimi was a fantastic cook, a creative gardener, and a very experienced first mate to her husband “Captain Charles” while on their boat “Overtime” enjoying days with many close friends. They were members of the Rex Yacht Club and South Norwalk Boat Club while residing in Norwalk.¬† Her greatest passion, of course, was to be at home with her family surrounded by love and laughter.

  1. Grandma, I hope that you know how much you are loved and how much you will be missed. Our lives are forever changed. Thank you so much for the great times. The memories that we share will be cherished and often remembered. Dance with the angels and enjoy your peace. You will be with me always. Lots of LOVE, HUGS, and KISSES XXOO Michelle

  • I never met Mimi, and only met Charlie one time in South Carolina. However, my dear friends Kathy & Andy loved Mimi very much. they were SC friends and then stayed connected thru email. I was with K&A when they heard about Mimi’s passing. I witnessed first hand the tears in their eyes as they recalled the many stories surrounding their friendship with Mimi & Charlie. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sympathy to Charlie and to assure him that Mimi is at peace.

  • Sincere Condolences to the Family of Marthe Parisi. Many years ago I met Marthe through my sister Theresa Lukach who worked @ the old Nash Engineering Company. She was charming, courteous and in my heart, thoughts and prayers many times these many years. May she rest in Peace.

  • Our sincere sympathy to Charlie and the rest of the family. We shared many a story about Italian heritage when we resided in Myrtle Beach and lots of laughs. She certainly will be remembered for her sense of humor as well as her Christmas letters. God bless her.
