Maryann (DeFelice) Conti

January 21, 1946 ~ December 27, 2018

Maryann (DeFelice) Conti, 72, wife of Charles Conti, Sr. of Norwalk passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on December 27, 2018. Born January 21, 1946 in Greenwich, Connecticut, daughter of the late John & Concetta (Piro) DeFelice. She was well loved by all who survive her, had a generous soul and heart.

After graduating from Greenwich High School she started working at National Association of Engine and Boat Manufacturers of Greenwich as a MTST/MTSC processor. She then began her career at Greenwich Hospital as a medical transcriptionist, moving onto billing for the doctors of the Anesthesiology Department/Anesthesia Business Consultants. In the almost 30 years that she worked for the hospital, the doctors and coworkers became more like family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Joseph (Lisa) DeLuca, Jr. of Stamford, daughter Catherine DeLuca of Norwalk, her stepchildren Tammy Sessa of Stratford, Charles (Melissa) Conti, Jr. of Trumbull, her nine cherished grandchildren-Jack & Gemma DeLuca, Jason, Evan and Alexis Bausch, Frankie & Aurianna Sessa, Memphis and Jackson Conti. She is also survived by her loving sister Phyllis (DeFelice) Pirozzoli and her husband Bob of Shelton.

  1. With our deepest sympathy to my pal Charlie and family. The lost of Maryann put a void into our hearts. We knew MarryAnn since the first time we moved in Norwalk, hence we became next door neighbor. Within the 28 years of being next door neighbor she was always so pure and so kind to us. She practically witnessed us built our own family, from a newly wed couple into having 2 children and within those times we have gotten closer together that she has become part of my family. There is not enough words to utter on how much you will be missed but our happy memories together will somehow be the instrument to acceptance and healing. You will be forever in our hearts and in our prayers. I trust everything to the Almighty God the Father that you may Rest In Peace in his Kingdom together with Jesus Christ our Lord.

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. Amen. May the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God Rest In Peace. Amen.

  • Joey and Cathy,
I’m so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was one of the nicest people I knew; I did chat with her on Facebook to see if she needed any help but she said she was all set.
