Wake: Friends may call on Tuesday morning, August 9th, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Interment will conclude in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Donations: The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice in memory of Mary.

December 9, 1923 - August 6, 2011

Mary J. Bove, 87, beloved wife of the late John A. Bove of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at her home, in the company of her family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born December 9, 1923 in Norwalk, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Lillian (Vena) Morrone.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Norwalk. In 1941 she graduated from Norwalk High School. She continued her education at the Merrill Business School. After graduating she started working for her father at the South Norwalk Lumber Company. Years later she became the owner and operator of Angione Dry Cleaners of Norwalk. Mary also worked at the Farrell Insurance Company for a number of years and she was an active member of the Columbiettes. Mary was a devoted wife, and a loving mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed the time that she was able to spend with her sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren who love her deeply. She will be greatly missed.

Mary is survived by her two sons, John J. Bove and his wife Vicki of Norwalk, CT and David N. Bove and his wife Toni of Trumbull, CT, as well as five grandchildren: Jonathan and Adam of Norwalk, CT and David, Christopher and Alexandra of Trumbull, CT. Mary is also survived by her sisters Rose Tiano and Anna Keyes.

In addition to her husband Mary was also predeceased by her brother John Morrone.
