Michèle Tarrant

Michèle Tarrant passed away peacefully after a short illness on the evening of Sunday the 29th of March near the end of the ebb tide. Though her family could not be with her, she was surrounded by a compassionate team of Norwalk Hospital physicians, nurses and therapists that had been caring for her for several days.

Michèle was one of a kind and will be remembered for her generous spirit, her compassion for others, her love of books and music, her witty puns, her abounding silliness, her love of all things purple and her signature, joyous laugh.

Michèle will be greatly missed by her extended family including her mother, sister, brothers, nephews, nieces, aunts, cousins and the incredible loving and vibrant community that she was a part of at Broad River Homes. She was a treasured patient for her team of compassionate, responsive healthcare providers for whom her family will be forever grateful. May her laughter echo in the hearts and minds of all she touched.

A celebration of Michèle’s life will take place when group gatherings resume.

  1. Michele is now singing and dancing in the streets of heaven with loved ones that preceded her there.

  • Michelle had the most soothing voice that had a calming effect whenever we spoke. I was fortunate to have spent
time with her when I was working in Bridgeport. Going out to dinner and sharing our views and humor. RIP my cousin
and give everyone up there a hug from me. Peace at last ❤️

  • Dear Tarrants,

I met your family so many years ago when I was living at my Aunt and Uncle’s house—Anne and Joe O’Callaghan. I remember Michèle and she was indeed as your memorial describes her. God bless and keep you all. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.

    With heartfelt sympathy,

  • Michelle was a such a vibrant, sweet woman! She hardly ever missed coming to watch a Fatima basketball game. She was a wonderful cheerleader. We will miss seeing her different color hair and her big smile. She never came empty handed to the basketball or baseball games. She come with goodies that she baked like cookies or cupcakes! She always had Wendy’s frosty certificates to give to the kids! She had a big heart and will be sorely missed. Our deepest condolences to the whole family! • Michele was my niece and it had been a few years since I had seen her. But my four children and Michele and her siblings had similar birthdays and they had great times when both families were together. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Michele will be missed.

  • To the Tarrant Family,

I was so shocked and sad to read about Michele’s passing. I used to babysit for your family when you lived on Morgan Ave. I remember Michele as a little girl and I can see her sweet little face as I write this. I am sending my deepest sympathy and love to all of you. Michele and your family are in my prayers.
