Paul Hiller, Sr.


October 12, 1933 - March 2, 2015

Paul Hiller, Sr., 81, of Norwalk, husband of Patricia Wolfe Hiller, died Monday in Norwalk Hospital.

Born in Bronx, New York, October 12, 1933, son of the late Morris and Anna Mitchik Hiller, he was a life-long Norwalk resident, and a U. S. Army veteran of the Korea. Early on, Mr. Hiller was a design engineer, working for Barnes Engineering, prior to operating his own service stations and tow trucks on both West Avenue and New Canaan Avenue, in the 1970’s. He also involved himself in commercial real estate and operated a U-Haul franchise.

Paul enjoyed playing cards, but loved boating and fishing the most. He was a member of the South Norwalk Boat Club for over thirty years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include six children; Paul Hiller, Jr. and his wife Joy, Mark Hiller and wife Deana, all of Norwalk, Sharon Bendix and her husband Ralph, of St. Augustine, Florida, Robin Francis, of Wallingford, Donna Wathem and husband George, also of St. Augustine, Sandra Iannacone, of York, South Carolina, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
