Richard T. Scalise


April 18, 1943 ~ December 28, 2013

 

Richard T. Scalise, 70, husband of Constance Russo Scalise passed away peacefully on December 28, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on April 18, 1943 in Stamford, CT.  He was the son of Richard and Doris Scalise.

Richard was Vice President of Dickmont Plastics Corp. in Stamford that was a family run business started in 1955.  He and his brother opened a business called DODI Enterprisis in the 1970’s, which he was president.  He was a member of the Society of Plastic Engineers where he served on the board of directors.  In the late eighties, Richard founded R&G Industries and developed Oyster Bend Marina and Townhouses which provided much enjoyment for the boating community.  He was a member of the South Norwalk Boat Club.  Rich had a passion for boating and fishing and enjoyed spending time on his boat “ Just E Nuff” with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Connie,  Mr. Scalise is survived by his son Richard T. Scalise, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Norwalk; daughter Roxanne G. Scalise of Trumbull; three grandchildren, Michael, Jack, and Gianna; and by his brother Donald Scalise of Fairfield.

Richard was predeceased in life by his mother, Doris Coughlin Scalise and by his sister Elaine Twardy.

CHANGED–A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on SATURDAY, January 4, 2014, at 10:00 AM in St. Cecilia Church, 1184 Newfield Avenue Stamford, CT. Interment of Ashes will follow in St. John Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien, CT.

Friends may call on Thursday, January 2, 2014, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
