Robert Edwin Judson

June 17, 1937 ~ March 9, 2013

Robert Edwin Judson, age 75, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Norwalk Hospital. Bob was born June 17, 1937 in Baltimore, MD. He was the son of the late Madison Judson and Marcella Judson Mashock.

Bob graduated from Oshkosh H.S. in WI and got his teaching degree from the Univ. of WI campus in Stevens Point. While in Stevens Point, he served as a student minister for the Milladore’s and Junction City Methodist Churches. In his twenties, he continued his service to the community as a social worker with Milwaukee County. He and his wife, Barbara, moved to CT in 1963 and in 1997, after 35 years in the Stamford School System, he retired. Bob enjoyed playing cards and going to the casinos. He was extremely generous and devoted. He loved his family, friends and his life completely. Those who knew him will remember that he was always ready with a joke or a pun. He was also an avid reader and extremely knowledgable on a host of topics from random trivia to past and current events.

Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara, son Brian (and his wife Wendy Hartsock of Huntersville, NC who considered Bob her father, as well, and greatest advocate), brothers Madison (Greta) of Oshkosh, WI and Arthur (Mary) of Appleton, WI and eleven nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 16, at Christ Episcopal Church, 2 Emerson Sreet, East Norwalk, CT 06855. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Christ Episcopal Church is appreciated.
