Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 12th, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation: On Thursday the family will be receiving friends from 8:30 A. M. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, the procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. Rosemary Farrell Lane


February 14, 1929 - March 9, 2015

Rosemary Farrell Lane, age 86, passed away on March 9, 2015. She was the loving wife of William D. Lane for the past 58 years.

Rosemary was born on February 14, 1929 to Marguerite and Frank Farrell. She attended St. Joseph’s School, Sacred Heart Academy in Stamford, and received a B.S. degree in Education from Danbury State Teachers College. She taught elementary school at Roosevelt School on Allen Road, and was a longtime member of Shore and Country Club.¬†She was an active parishioner and Special Minister at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in East Norwalk.

Rosemary is survived by her husband, Bill Lane, daughter, Nancy Lane Smith, and her husband, John Paul Smith, of Greenville N.C., and grandchildren Jennifer Patricia Smith and Ryan William Smith.

She was predeceased by her sister; Betty Ann Farrell Wynn, and her brothers; Thomas Farrell and Frank Farrell.
