Savvas Stefanidis, 79, of Norwalk, husband of Fotini Stefanidis, died Thursday, Feb. 21st, in Gaylord Hospital, Wallingford.
Born in Anatoliko, Kozani, Greece, March 3, 1933, he was the son of the late Stefanos and Katerina Kotsoni Stefanidis. Mr. Stefanidis served in the Greek Army before moving here in 1962. He was employed at Hicks and Otis and became a partner in the former Skipper’s Restaurant.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter; Roula Stefanidis, of Stamford, sons Stefanos Stefanidis and Konstantinos Stefanidis, two stepdaughters; Rita Paschalidis and Annet Papadopoulos, all of Norwalk, and four grandchildren.
Services will take place Monday, Feb. 25th, at 10:00 A.M., in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
