Shirley Kramer London Kestenbaum


February 13, 1928 - May 11, 2017

Born February 13, 1928 and passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the age of 89, and wife of the late Leo Kestenbaum, died peacefully in Florida.  She was born in Boston, MA, daughter of parents Morris and Dorothy (Winters) Kramer and had lived in Norwalk for most of her life and more recently in Hollywood, FL.

She was a graduate of the Fay School of Boston. She worked part-time at various Norwalk and Darien companies as a secretary and administrative assistant.  She was also very active in the Zoinist movement and a lifelong member of Hadasah. She was an active member of Rolling Hills Country Club where she was an avid bridge, tennis and golf aficionado for over 40 years.  She loved spending time and traveling with her late husband, Leo Kestenbaum.  Shirley was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Aunt.

Survivors include two daughters, Faith London Epstein and her husband Neil of Trumull, CT and Jill London and domestic partner, Paul Nowell of NYC and Cobb CA.  Two grandsons, Lawrence London Epstein and Marshall Kramer Epstein.  Surviving siblings are Brother Paul Kramer and wife Marilyn of NYC and sisters Joan Kramer Sullivan and husband Bill of Burlington, MA and Andrea Kramer Phaneuf and husband Roger of Leesburg, VA and Ft. Myers, FL and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by step children Jody Kestenbaum Dolman, Abbe Kestenbaum Simons and Joshua Kestenbaum and her step grandchildren.

Services will be held on Monday at 11:30 AM at Congregation Beth El, 109 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Burial will follow in the Beth El Memorial Park, Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
