Shirley Lashinsky


Shirley Lashinsky, wife of the late David Lashinsky of Norwalk, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at her home.

Born in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Bella Schwartz Modes.

Shirley is survived by her three daughters Eileen Lashinsky, Harriet Petrides and her husband Billy, and Maxine Vigneault and her husband Daniel all of Norwlk, CT; nine grandchildren, Jacob, Zachary, Davi, Ashely, Matthew and his wife Allison, Timothy, Jason Andrew and Brent; one great granddaughter Kaylin. She is also survived by her sister Rita Ferrari of Florida.

In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her sister Marilyn Miller.

Funeral services will take place TODAY, April 10, 2013 at 10:30 AM in the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Burial will follow in the Beth Israel Cemetery, Richards Avenue Norwalk, CT.

  • I am so sorry to hear of mom’s passing. Fran & I had many good times together with Dave & Shirley. I’m sure they will meet in the great beyond and perhaps start a “penny-poker” game. Cherish and remember the good times together.

  • Sorry to learn of mom passing. I have been in the middle of moving and also landed in the hospital for two nights.
    I would enjoy being with mom at an Hadassah meeting and the time of the mix up of are coats. And the good old day of the Jewish Community Center. So Girls and your family I send my condolences.
