September 15, 1929 - April 8, 2013

Shirley Rands Keasler, 83, of Wilton, CT passed away on April 8 at 2:20am at Norwalk Hospital.  Shirley was born on September 15, 1929 in Chesterfield, IL.  She was the daughter of Paul and Ruth (Long) Rands.

She was raised, educated and married in Alton, IL. She married Karl K. Keasler on June 25, 1954 at the College Avenue Presbyterian Church.  They resided in Alton, IL for 10 years, then moved to Summit, NJ before settling in Wilton, CT in July 1968.

Shirley started her career at Olin Corp in Alton, IL.  The majority of her career was spent at Ethan Allen headquarters in Danbury, CT.

Shirley left her family a legacy of love and respect.  She was a wonderful cook, loved to sew, and will be remembered for her beautiful smile and jovial laugh.

Shirley is survived by her husband, her son Karl Andrew, his wife Karen and their three children Karl William, Sarah Rands and Emily Alexander of Wilton, CT and her other son Samuel Grant; Samuel was her primary care giver in her later years.  She is also survived by her sister, Sue Lynn Widdison of Phoenix, AZ and brother-in-law Harry Fessler of Godfrey, IL.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
