Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 19th at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will be private. Visitation: Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, March 18th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. September 24, 1944 - March 5, 2015

William E. Reed, “Bunker Bill”, 70, of Norwalk, Connecticut, loving lifetime partner of Laurie A. DiNatale, died Thursday, March 5th in Norwalk Hospital.

Born in Norwalk, Connecticut, September 24, 1944, son of the late Wilmont and Jeanne Reed, he was a life-long Westport and Norwalk resident, and a U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Bill was a self-employed landscape contractor and property manager. He served on the board of directors of Value Line Inc. in New York City and the board at the VFW in Westport, Ct.

Bill was an avid horseman who had a passion for thoroughbred racing. However, his true love was boating and fishing. He was a member of the Westport Striped Bass Club and a lifetime member of the South Norwalk Boat Club for over thirty years.

Survivors in addition to his partner include two brothers; David Reed and his wife Blanche of Redding Ct, Thomas Reed and his wife Susan, their children Michael and Rebecca and her daughter Victoria, all of Bridgeport, Ct, his Aunt Dorothy (Dot) Getner of Norwalk Ct, and his Uncle Joseph Makravitz of Maryland and several other cousins, nieces and nephews; Dana and Domenic Woods of New London, Ct.
